In December, the Blue Element Salon will be selecting a case
from St. Louis Post Dispatches

Neediest Cases. The 100 Neediest Cases tradition began in 1900 when the
Christmas festival provided dinner and toys for the poor. Today,
United Way of Greater St. Louis and the
St. Louis
Post-Dispatch, with the help of social service agencies, high school
students, and thousands of generous readers, proudly carry on the tradition.
Each year, more than 10,000 families in need receive help from the 100 Neediest
Cases program. An effort is made to assist every case in some way and every
dollar raised goes to the program - all administrative and fundraising costs are
absorbed by the United Way, Post Dispatch and more than 70 local social service
agencies.

100 Neediest Cases is also the recipient of our December product sales donation
drive. $2 from each shampoo/conditioner set sold in the month of December will
be donated to 100 Neediest Cases to assist in their outreach efforts.
